PES 2019 Mobile to Be Reskinned As eFootball PES 2020 This October

Konami today announced that they will completely rehaul the current PES 2019 mobile game. The title will be called eFootball PES 2020 which will be released later this year, in October. The latest major update to the PES Mobile series brings many of the key features and licenses already announced for eFootball PES 2020 on PC and console.

New features for this year’s mobile game include Finesse Dribble, a dynamic dribbling technique created following close consultation with legendary midfielder Andrés Iniesta; a more finely-tuned ball control system; and more realistic defensive AI behaviour. eFootball PES 2020 on mobile will also take full advantage of the many new partnership announcements made this year, including licenses for Juventus FC, FC Bayern and Manchester United. This is on top of renewed partnerships with FC Barcelona and Arsenal, plus the various top league licenses including Italy’s Serie A.

Matchday is a new game mode that will be added to the latest version of the mobile game, encouraging players to choose one of two sides at the start of each weekly event and contribute points towards their team’s overall success. Players can also expect a significant bump in the game’s graphics and overall visual presentation.  For current PES Mobile users, select data will be compatible with the update when it is released in October. Some of the details about the transition can be found below:

  • What happens to my myClub Coins?

All myClub Coins from PES 2019 will carry over to PES 2020.

  • What happens to my GP?

All GP from PES 2019 will carry over to PES 2020.

  • What happens to my Model Teams?

If the Model Team you set in PES 2019 is included in PES 2020, then you should be able to use it as is. However, for some teams, the team name, strip and emblem will be automatically changed.

If the Model Team you set in PES 2019 is not included in PES 2020, then you will have to choose a new team from those available after the update. You can change your Model Team and team name at any time by going to [Extras] → [User Information] → [User Details] and selecting Model Team and Team Name.

  • Players

    New Player Type: “Carryover Players”

In PES 2019, there were 3 types of players available in-game: Base Players, Featured Players and Legend Players. Starting in PES 2020, a new category of player will be added – the Carryover Player.

When the PES 2020 mobile update goes live, all Base Players and Featured Players that you owned in PES 2019 will automatically be converted to Carryover Players. The appearance, position, skills, tactics and other player data of Carryover Players will be the same as that of a Base Player.

You can find out more about the game on the official website. eFootball PES 2020 will be available on the App Store and Google Play Store later this year.
