New World of Warcraft Classic Realms Being Opened on August 26; Limitation of 3 Classic Characters Per Account Being Removed

World of Warcraft Classic Realms queues

Blizzard will be opening new World of Warcraft Classic realms next week on August 26 to spread player population.

As covered earlier, Blizzard is estimating hours-long queues on the most popular Classic realms once the game releases next week and to help prevent extreme waiting times for players, Blizzard is opening additional PvP and Normal realms in both the US and EU region.

In addition, Classic’s development team will be removing the limitation of 3 Classic characters per World of Warcraft account. Afterwards, players will be able to create up to 10 characters per Classic realms, for a total of 50 characters across all Classic realms per account. These characters aren’t linked with Battle for Azeroth characters.

The following new realms will be opened:

EU

Name Type Language
Flamelash PvP English
Gandling PvP English
Mograine PvP English
Nethergarde Keep Normal English
Razorgore PvP English

US

Name Type Timezone
Incendius PvP Eastern
Bigglesworth PvP Pacific
Old Blanchy Normal Pacific
Westfall Normal Eastern

“At this time, all realms that have a Full or High population tag are expected to experience extended queues”, Blizzard writes. “We urge players on realms marked Full or High to plan to play on one of these new realms to avoid the longest queues, and to help spread the player population as evenly as possible and provide the best play experience for everyone.”

World of Warcraft Classic launches globally on August 26/27.
