Now that we know that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are going to launch next month at the Galaxy Unpacked event, we have started getting our hands on a lot of information regarding both devices and honestly, there is not much that we already don't know. Today, we have our hands on complete specifications for both devices and although they are not as surprising as they should be, they do add another feather to the hat.
The Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will need to do a lot more than just be powerful flagships
Based on the information provided by SnoopyTech, we now know what the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 are going to offer in terms of specifications. The specs are not all that different from what we have heard, but hey, at least you are getting a reliable tip on what the phones are bringing to the table.
So, based on the information we have received, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will bring a 6.7-inch primary display with FHD+ resolution; the screen in question is an LTPO OLED panel. On the outside, you are getting a 3.4-inch cover screen with a 748x720 pixels screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. The external display will allow full functionality, such as a camera, music controls, Google apps, and more. The foldable will launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy along with 8 gigs of RAM and a choice of either 128 or 256 gigs of storage.
On the back, the Galaxy Z Flip is said to have a dual camera configuration. You are getting a 12+12-megapixel configuration with a 10-megapixel selfie camera. You are also getting a 3,700 mAh battery, 25W fast charging, wireless charging, and all the other goodness you can expect regarding connectivity. The phone is going to be available in Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Mint, and it measures 7.19 x 8.51 x 1.51 cm when it is folded.
Moving onto the elder sibling, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is another excellent contender for anyone who is looking for a powerful foldable phone. The phone has a 7.6-inch internal display with a resolution of 2,176 x 1,812 pixels resolution. Of course, it is an LTPO panel. The cover screen is a 6.2-inch screen with a 2,316 x 904 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. You are getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 12 gigs of RAM, a choice between 256/512 gigs of storage, and IPX8 water resistance.
On the back, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to feature a 50-megapixel camera with a 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. On the inside, you are getting a 4-megapixel under-display selfie camera and a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the outside. All the modern connectivity options are available, and the phone will be available in Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom black. Powering the device is going to be a 4,400 mAh battery, with 25W fast charging.
