To my disappointment, Google did not unveil the Pixel 8 series at the I/O 2023. Despite the phones leaking numerous times in the past, they are still a couple of months away from the official launch. Today, however, we have our hands on the official wallpapers of the upcoming devices, and while it might sound like a small thing, I honestly am glad that these have leaked because, well, who doesn't mind a good wallpaper, right?
The Pixel 8 will get mineral-themed wallpapers, and they all look stunning
Folks over at Android Authority obtained these wallpapers, and they claim that these wallpapers could correspond to the color options for the Pixel 8 devices. However, it is still advised to take this with a grain of salt because Google could end up changing these names when the release is coming closer.
Currently, the Pixel 8 phones will be available in Haze, Jade, Licorice, and Peony. At the same time, the Pro variant will be available in Jade, Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky. Again, these could change as we move closer to the release date. Meanwhile, you can get access to all the uncompressed wallpapers here.
If you are looking to get your hands on the Pixel 8 Pro wallpapers, you can have a look at them below. These are similar, but they do have different design languages, and they look excellent too. Let's have a look.
There you have it, folks. The official light and dark wallpapers for the Pixel 8 series. These wallpapers are available to download and use right away. If you are looking for an uncompressed version, there is a Google Drive link above where you can get all these wallpapers in their highest quality and get started with the customization.
Honestly, although these PIxel 8 wallpapers look amazing, I do not prefer the styling, but that is entirely personal. Andrew Zuckerman, the creator of these wallpapers, has done a fantastic job at their work, and I love how they have turned out.
Pixel 8 series should be going official sometime in September/October timeframe, and we are going to be sure that we keep you posted about Google's upcoming devices and let you in on all the information we get our hands on. Until then, stay tuned!
