FSP, the manufacturer of high-end PSU (Power Supply Units) currently offers its flagship design as a part of its Hydro series. The company has a vast array of options starting at 500W & all the way up to 1200W.
We have been taking a look at various Hydro series supplies from FSP for the past few months and the company more recently announced that its latest ATX 3.0 / Gen 5.0 designs are now available in retail. During this time, the company sent us its brand-new Hydro Ti Pro, a brand new 1000W unit that is rated 80 Plus Titanium so let's check it out. We have previously covered the 1000W PTM Pro which featured an 80 Plus Platinum rating. The review unit which we received is also labeled as the "VIP" design which is a special unit with limited quantities.
FSP Hydro Ti PRO 1000W 80 PLUS Titanium PSU Specifications
So starting with our unit, we have got the FSP Hydro Ti Pro 1000 PSU unit which is an 80+ Titanntium design meaning that it's going to offer some outclass power efficiency. It's a fully modular design like the rest of the Hydro series units we tested and comes with a conformal coating that adds to its durability, preventing it from carrying dust, strains, or corrosion from humidity.
Coming to the specifications, the FSP Hydro Ti PRO 1000W unit we got offers a maximum DC output of 1000 Watts and an active PFC. It's an 80 PLUS Titanium unit with efficiency rated at greater than or over 94%. The PSU is fully compliant with Intel's C6 & C7 power states and has an operating temp of 0-50C while the Japanese bulk capacitors are rated at up to 450V & 105C. The PSU is fully IEC/EN 62638 certified.

The design is one of the highlights as FSP went with a smaller 150mm enclosure which should go well with SFF PC builds. It is slightly larger than the 130mm Hydro PTM X PRO which we tested before but you can feel the bulk of the components that this thing packs by holding it in just one hand.
The cooling is provided by a top-mounted semi-fanless FDB 135mm fan. There's a switch on the back of the PSU reading 'ECO' which is used to disable the fan operation, leading to slightly lower power consumption. The fan itself is a non-PWM and fluid dynamic bearing design. FSP ships the Hydro PTM X PRO 1000W PSU with a 10-year warranty and is currently listed for a price of $349.99 US.

FSP Hydro Ti PRO 1000W 80 PLUS Titanium PSU Unboxing & Close Up
The unit we received comes in a large silver and black colored package with a picture of the PSU on the front. The front also lists several features such as the 80 Plus Titaniumrating, A HPD or High-Power Density design, a 10-year warranty, and Japanese Bulk capacitors.
The back side also offers a list of features which we have detailed above and we will get to more details in our tear-down in a bit.
Opening the package reveals an interesting label that reads 'Power Never Ends' which is the main motto of the FSP Lifestyle brand. Within the package, the PSU unit is held between foam packaging to protect it during shipping while the cables are supplied in their own separate pouch. There are also several stickers that can be placed on the sides of the PSU & a Hydro PTM X Pro series guidebook. There are also four screws supplied with the PSU for installation within your casing.
One of the more interesting accessories within the package is this right-angled connector that can be plugged into the 24-pin cable, allowing for easier installation to the motherboard.
The PSU itself is packaged in a plastic cover. Looking at the PSU, we can see the use of conformal coating throughout the interior.
This is a 150mm chassis which makes it really small and easier to manage within crammed-up PC cases. The exact dimensions of the PSU are 150x150x86mm.
On the back, you can see the power plug, the power switch, the Eco mode switch, and a large mesh panel that acts as an exhaust vent.
Now depending on how you use the PSU, the bottom panel reads the specifications and power ratings. The PSU is rated to output a maximum of 83.33A and 1000W through the 12V rails.
The sides of the PSU have a nice FSP Hydro PTM X Pro logo which can be replaced with stickers within the packaging.
Coming to the connectors, there are 1 PCIe 12+4 (12VHPWR), five PCI-e 6+2-pin connectors, an ATX 24-pin (14+10 pin) ATX connector, 4 5-pin connectors for peripherals, 12 SATA connectors and two 4+4 Pin CPU connectors.
The cables within the packaging pouch include the ATX 20+4 pin, a Gen5 connector, two 8-pin CPU connectors, 4 PCIe 8-Pin connectors, and 4 Peripheral connectors.
Opening up the unit, we are greeted with a very high-end design making use of Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors. As mentioned above in the features, the PSU utilizes Japanese-grade capacitors which are a mix of both electrolytic and polymer designs. The whole unit has high-quality solder. There are also several heatsinks within the PSU that provide adequate cooling.
Lastly, we have the fan which is an MGA12012XF-I25 design from Protechnic Electric with a 12V 0.52A design and features a fluid bearing.

FSP Hydro Ti PRO 1000W 80 PLUS Titanium PSU Final Impressions
FSP continues to expand its Hydro lineup with more powerful PSU options that conform to the latest PCIe Gen 5 and ATX 3.0 standards. The company has one of the widest arrays of options for next-gen PCs and the Hydro Ti Pro series is the latest addition to the lineup which continues to be just as impressive as the last ones.
Once again, I had no issues with the Hydro Ti Pro running our overclocked bench that comprises an Intel Core i9-13900K CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 running at maximum overclocked specs & the best part is that it destroys all other PSUs in transient response tests. It almost looks like each iteration of the Hydro Gen 5 design has become better and better through continuous work and engineering efforts by FSP.
With its 150mm design, the FSP Hydro PTM X PRO PSU lineup makes for a great choice for any kind of PC, especially SFF designs which are made even better with their fully modular design.
