It’s a known fact that chip technology is progressing at a rampant pace but batteries are struggling to keep up with the changes. Sure, we might have fast charging tech to counter it, but at times, it’s just not enough. So, today, we are going to share some tips on how to fast charge iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, and hopefully help you juice up quicker and get online faster.

USB-C to Lightning All the Way

The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max ship with a USB-C to Lightning cable along with an 18W wall charger. Essentially, those are the only two things you’ll ever need to charge up the phones as fast as possible. However if you want to fast charge iPhone 11, the cheapest of the three phones, then you have to buy a USB-C to Lightning cable separately along with an 18W wall charger. Make the investment, it’s totally worth it.

Note: Please always purchase MFi-Certified cables for your iPhone otherwise you run the risk of damaging your phone.

Avoid Cases While Charging

As odd it may sound but a case on a hot summer day might actually throttle your charging performance and may even lead to battery damage in the long run due to increased heat. So, in order to fast charge iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro at a respectable rate, take that case off for a while, it’s totally worth it.

Use Airplane Mode if Using a Slower Charger

Chances are that you managed to pack in a slower-than-18W-charger with you on your travel along with a regular USB-A Lightning cable. That’s fine. As long as it can push out 12W of power, your iPhone should charge up at a respectable rate. However, if you wish to give your iPhone a quick charging boost, then turn on airplane mode. You can do so by swiping down on Control Center on the top right hand corner or by going to Settings.

Buy 7.5W Wireless Chargers Only

Did you know that your new iPhone supports 7.5W charging wirelessly? So, the next time you are out buying a wireless charger, make sure that the product package says that it supports 7.5W. If the box does not mention it, and even if it says 10W or 15W, then your iPhone will simply default to 5W.

Invest in Official MFi-Certified Accessories Only

Though I have mentioned this above, but officially approved accessories ensure the best possible charging experience. Just look for this logo on the cable or charger below:

This logo means that the accessory has been certified by Apple itself and offers the best possible experience, and certainly one which meets Apple’s expectations. Buying non-MFi-Certified accessories means that you are putting your device in harm’s way and you will get the most mediocre charging experience ever. In a lot of cases you’ll notice slow charging, overheating issues, even warning messages from your iPhone saying that the connected accessory is bogus. So please, spend those extra dollars on accessories that ensure longevity of your iPhone, and offer a proper fast charging experience.
