PlayStation 5 Full Reveal To Come In February 2020 – Rumor

PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 console is getting fully revealed early next year, according to rumors.

In a recent rumor reported by YouTuber Mystic, it’s been revealed that the PlayStation 5 is getting fully revealed on February 12th, when a new PlayStation Meeting will be held. Third party publishers are getting invited to the event to showcase their games, and Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us Part II will also be featured at the event, running on new generation hardware.

As with every rumor, we have to take this with a pink of salt. Some things, however, do line up with this rumor, as Sony is not holding a PSX this year, which makes sense if a PlayStation Meeting is being held in February. Additionally, Sony did hold a PlayStation Meeting back in February 2013 to announce the PlayStation 4 and, as things worked well, it would make sense to go with the same tactic again.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the PlayStation 5. What we do know is that the CPU will be based on the third generation of AMD’s Ryzen Line and the GPU will support ray tracing.

The CPU is based on the third generation of AMD’s Ryzen line and contains eight cores of the company’s new 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture. The GPU, a custom variant of Radeon’s Navi family, will support ray tracing, a technique that models the travel of light to simulate complex interactions in 3D environments.

The PlayStation 5 console has yet to be fully unveiled. We will keep you updated on it as soon as more come in on the matter, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
