Sony Rolling Out Stylish New DualShock 4 and Gold Headset Colors This Fall

Sony

In the market for a new PS4 controller? Well, you might want to wait just a little bit, because Sony is preparing to add some new DualShock 4 color variations to its ever-growing lineup. As usual, not all the controllers are equally stylish, but there’s nothing truly garish this time around. You can check out a quick video highlighting the new colors below.

Here’s a bit more information about your new options:

  • Electric Purple – This vibrant new color features a two-tone purple design with white PlayStation shapes for added contrast.
  • Red Camouflage – Black, red and brown take on the iconic controller camouflage pattern paired with silver detailing for extra flare.
  • Titanium Blue – A metallic top cover with light blue detailing is complemented by a matte blue back with this new addition to our metallic line.
  • Rose Gold – A gold metallic finish and subtle rose hue offers a sleek and sophisticated metallic option.

I’m sure the shiny new Rose Gold and Titanium controllers will be the most popular options, but I’m kind of digging the purple one. Reminds me of my trusty old Gamecube controller.

All stocked up on controllers, but looking for a new headset? Sony is also rolling out the new Rose Gold Wireless Headset, which includes a nice metallic finish on the headband, with embossed PS Shapes on the inside. You can get a better look at the new headset, below.

The new DualShock 4 controllers will be available at all major retailers sometime this fall at a price of $65 (PS4 controllers usually cost $60, so you’re paying a small premium for those new colors). The Rose Gold Wireless Headset will launch slightly later in November and will set you back $100. What do you think? Planning to pick up any of the colorful new options?
