Mi MIX 4 Specifications Leak Reveal Xiaomi’s Best Flagship to Date; Snapdragon 855 Plus, 12GB RAM, Quad-Rear Camera & More

Xiaomi is yet to release its best possible flagship of the year, and if these Mi MIX 4 specifications are to be believed, we might have a real winner on our hands, at least in the hardware department. The Chinese manufacturer has been rather mum about the situation, and we can speculate that it’s probably waiting for the iPhone 11 family and Mate 30 series to launch before it can introduce the ‘ace up its sleeve’ and bring it to the table.

Xiaomi Could Reportedly Use Samsung’s 108MP Sensor as Part of the Alleged Rear Quad-Camera Setup for the Mi MIX 4

Starting with the display, the leaked Mi MIX 4 specifications don’t specify a screen size but the design could include a bezel-less AMOLED panel with a sliding camera mechanism. The chipset expected to be found in the Mi MIX 4 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage, though we believe there will be several memory configurations sold by the company when this model first launches. The resolution specified is 2K, which depending on the aspect ratio of the smartphone, could change accordingly.

The leak specifies a quad-camera setup at the back, but MyDrivers may have published a typo when it states the primary RGB sensor will have a maximum resolution of 1.8MP. It could very well use Samsung’s recently launched 108MP sensor, coupled with a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12MP shooter with an unspecified functionality, and a periscope lens for lossless zoom purposes.

The battery capacity mentioned in the Mi MIX 4 specifications leak is a generous 4500mAh, with the upcoming flagship supposedly getting 30-watt fast charge and reverse wireless charging support. This also means the Mi MIX 4 will get Qi wireless charging support, though the max power draw using wireless induction isn’t specified. For future customers missing the headphone jack, the leak also suggests that Xiaomi will bring the port to its premium device, along with NFC support.

As for the software, the Mi MIX 4 will apparently run the company’s new MIUI 11, and probably get 5G connectivity support in select markets. Pricing details for any memory variant were not shared but if you give another read to these internal specifications, you’ll realize that this could be Xiaomi’s most expensive flagship to date. Regardless of what your first impressions, we recommend treating this leak with a pinch of salt, until more concrete info comes forth.

However, assuming this is true, we’ll have an ideal rival for the OnePlus 7 Pro or even the upcoming OnePlus 7T Pro.
