Right now, consensus on the rumor mill suggests that Apple will introduce three rear cameras on the iPhone 11 lineup. Given the fact that it’s become very costly to introduce new features (such as Face ID) to high-end gadgets, manufacturers are restricted to certain areas of a gadgets performance for upgrades. These areas have been the display and rear cameras for the past couple of years. Now, we’ve got a fresh report suggesting that Apple will make important upgrades to both the iPad and iPad Pro later this year. Take a look below for more details.
Supply Chain Report Suggests That The iPad Pro 2019 Will Feature A Triple Rear Camera Setup And The iPad 7 Will Sport A Dual Lens Shooter
With the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max, Apple will add a new super-wide-angle camera sensor at their back, to the iPhones XS’ current dual-camera setup. The new sensor will have a 120° field of view and a 2.2 F-number. The upgrade will bring the iPhones 11 at par with 2019’s high-end mobile gadgets, including the freshly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lineup.
Now, we’ve got an interesting supply chain report courtesy of the ever-reliable MacOtakara suggesting that this year’s iPhones will not be the only Apple gadgets with camera upgrades. Instead, the information suggests that the Cupertino tech giant will also introduce a triple-camera setup on the iPad Pro 2019. Additionally, the company will add a dual camera setup on the iPad 7 set to succeed the iPad 6.
The two images above are a part of MacOtakara’s report, but we’re certain that they aren’t meant to depict what might actually turn out as the iPad Pro 2019 and the iPad 7. If Apple does follow through with today’s report, then the company will provide users with a strong incentive to purchase either of the two iPads. After all, the company’s tablets are mostly unparralleled in terms of the performance they offer, and a camera boost just might do the trick for users uninitereted in a smartphone, but wishing to have a gadget with formidable camera specifications.
Speaking of which, we’re really excited to see a triple camera setup make it on the next iPad Pro. Apple’s top-of-the-line tablets are powered by the company’s AnX processors, and these SoCs have a larger die area than their counterparts for the iPhone. This area translates into more transistors, which in turn results in more space for computations. This space, combined with Apple’s software-hardware integration just might make the upcoming iPad Pro 2019 the company’s best photography device to date. Of course, until we see another source corroborate this report, we’d advise that you take it with a grain of salt.
