Ghostwire Tokyo Announced by Resident Evil Creator Shinji Mikami, Trippy Trailer Released

Ghostwire Tokyo

Note: This is a developing story. More detail will be added later.

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami just took to the stage at the 2019 Bethesda E3 Showcase to announce the next horror game from his studio Tango Gameworks, and it isn’t The Evil Within 3. No, Tango’s next game is a new supernatural horror IP, entitled Ghostwire Tokyo. Can check out a teaser for the game, below.

After revealing the title, Mikami called out Tango’s rather adorable creative director Ikumi Nakamura, who explained that this won’t be another survival horror game. It seems people have been mysteriously disappearing from Tokyo, and it’s up to you to find out why. It seems like the game will have more of a traditional adventure vibe, with more of a focus on puzzle and mystery solving than The Evil Within.

Platforms and a release date have yet to be announced for Ghostwire Tokyo.
