Man of Medan, the new horror game from Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games, has locked down an August release date. Man of Medan is the first entry in The Dark Pictures anthology, a series of horror games done in the style of Until Dawn featuring unique characters and scenarios. Medan focuses on a group of sexy college-age friends searching for a sunken World War II wreck in the South Pacific, but, of course, not everything is as it seems. You can check out the latest trailer for Man of Medan, below.
Creepy stuff! Until Dawn was surprisingly fun, so I’m definitely looking forward to this one. Haven’t been keeping up with Man of Medan? Here’s the game’s official rundown:
Man of Medan is the first game in The Dark Pictures anthology, bringing supernatural horror to the South Pacific. Five friends set sail on a holiday diving trip with a rumored WWII wreck to find. As the day unfolds and a storm rolls in, their trip soon changes into something much more sinister. Who will live? Who will die? It is down to you. Can you save them all?
- A Terrifying Experience – Supermassive Games delivers a new, horrific narrative journey where you will have to confront your deepest fears.
- Can You Save Them All? – All playable characters can live and all can die. The choices you make will decide their fate. Death could be just around the corner.
- What Will You Do To Survive? – Each choice you make has a consequence which can mean life or death for your character. Will you manage to keep your head whilst struggling to survive? What decisions will you make?
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan creeps onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on August 30. What do you think? Are you excited for Supermassive’s latest frightfest?
