Super Smash Bros Ultimate 2.0.2 Update Adds Support For New Amiibo And More

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Yesterday, we confirmed that a new Super Smash Bros Ultimate update, update 2.0.2, was going to be released soon worldwide. The new update is now live, and we finally know what has changed for the popular Nintendo Switch game.

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate 2.0.2 update introduces support for new amiibo figures, the Daisy, Young Link, and Ken figures. No balance changes seem to have been added to the game, as this update supports replays created with version 2.0.1 and version 2.0.0. The new update is also required for online play.

To see some major new features, we will likely have to wait for the release of the 3.0.0 update. The new DLC character Joker from Persona 5 is also supposed to be released before the end of the month, so it’s likely that this update will also go live before the end of April.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is one of the best Nintendo Switch games released so far and one of the best entries in the series ever, with a big character roster and a huge amount of single-player content.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is definitely the Ultimate rendition of a beloved series. It’s still the most accessible and interesting fighting game out there, and it’s now better than ever. A little familiar in places, but this is the best Smash has ever been. Another essential Nintendo Switch game.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now available on Nintendo Switch in all regions.
