Persona 5, the latest entry in the series developed by Atlus, is receiving an updated version called Persona 5 The Royal later this year, at least in Japan.
Earlier today, Atlus confirmed the first details of the game. For starters, it will not be DLC, but an expanded re-release which will come not only with improved graphics and 4K support on PlayStation 4 Pro, but also a new opening, a new area, a new character called Kasumi Yoshizawa, who will going the Phantom Thieves, a new confidant, new events, new enemies, new treasures, UI improvements and much more.
A new trailer has also been released, and you can find it below.
Persona 5 The Royale has been confirmed only for PlayStation 4, so sadly we still don’t know if a Nintendo Switch version of the game will be coming. Persona 5 S has yet to be revealed, so there’s still some hope left.
