Moshi is a maker of many different types of accessories and peripherals for phones and other devices. Headphones are a big part of that business and they just announced new USB Type-C earbuds and headset at CES 2019. With more devices ditching the headphones jack every day, USB Type-C headphones are becoming more popular as an alternative to Bluetooth.

Moshi Mythro C is an in-ear set of earbuds. They feature lightweight aluminum housings and they come in black and white. Moshi C is an on-ear headset with vegan leather earcups that are available in black and tan. These are premium products with high-quality design and build materials.

Both headphones are equipped with a DAC and they offer high-resolution audio at 24-bit/96kHz with a Class G amplifier. Mythro C includes 8mm neodymium drivers, while Avanti C features 40mm neodymium drivers. Needless to say, with these specs, the audio quality should be superior to 3.5mm devices. That’s thanks in part to the shorter analog cable runs between the DAC and drivers.

The Mythro C earbuds are available today on moshi.com for $50, and Avanti C will be released in late February for $200. Audiophiles still prefer wired audio and these new USB Type-C devices from Moshi look to have a lot to offer.
