Google Pixel 3 Lite XL Gets Allegedly Spotted at Geekbench, Reveals to Have More RAM Than the Expensive Models

Google Pixel 3 Lite XL

Rumors about mid-range Google Pixel smartphones have been flying for a while now and as we get closer to the alleged release date of spring 2019, more details are coming in. To bring up to speed, Google is expected to release two relatively affordable smartphones which might be called the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL. Per rumors, the Pixel 3 Lite will be fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset and it will have 4GB of RAM. Now, the Pixel 3 Lite XL has been spotted on Geekbench with better hardware specifications.

The Google Pixel 3 Lite XL Will Reportedly Have More RAM Than Pixel 3 XL, According to the Benchmark

According to a benchmark listing, the Pixel 3 Lite XL will be fueled by the Snapdragon 710 chipset and it will be flanked by 6GB RAM. This processor will give the phone an edge over other mid-rangers such as the Samsung Galaxy A8s because it will be running stock Android. The handset scored 1805 in the single-core test and 5790 in the multi-core results.

However, it could be a pre-release unit of the phone so the final results can vary. The listing also indicates that the phone might be manufactured by Foxconn, the company that also assembles the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. It is worth mentioning that Geekbench results are easy to spoof, so it’s best to take this information with a pinch of salt.

As for the other specifications, the phones are expected to feature a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The phones are also expected to retain the headphone jack and come with 32GB of storage, but if they don’t support microSD card expansion, 32GB will limit the customer. The smaller Pixel 3 Lite will allegedly sport a 5.56-inch screen, while the bigger Pixel 3 Lite XL would apparently have a 6-inch display.

The Lite variants of the Pixel phones will be the first mid-range phones to be released by Google after Nexus 5X, which was launched in 2015 and fetched $379. While it’s difficult to say what the Lite duo would cost, it will most likely sit between the $400-500 range. Given some other phones in the same price range offer far better specifications, it remains to be seen if the upcoming phones would make a mark.
