A new Starfield RTX 4090 graphical showcase has been released, showing Bethesda's game running in 4K@60FPS with the DLSS mod and a ReShade injection.

This new graphical showcase from German YouTuber 'Digital Dreams' uses the Starfield upscaler mod which replaces the in-game FSR 2 upscaler with DLSS/XeSS. As covered yesterday, in combination with the new DLSS 3.5 mod, this mod allows for pretty spectacular results on PC, offering major improvements over the game's native resolution.

As many of you know, Starfield uses some sort of green color filter that gives the game a certain cinematic vision. On social media, we've seen various players who have played the game via early access, who would prefer to play Starfield without this green tone, and this new video shows just that. Truth be told, the YouTuber's 'Beyond All Limits' ReShade preset does make the game somewhat more vibrant, but this is just a matter of personal taste. Check out the Starfield RTX 4090 ReShade On/Off comparison video below. Which version do you prefer? The vanilla game with Bethesda's green filter or the version with the ReShade injection?

Unfortunately, this ReShade preset isn't available for everyone and you'll need to be a Patreon in order to download it. Then again, we're pretty sure that there will soon be plenty of mods and ReShades that do the same.

Starfield is available now for PC, and Xbox Series X|S via early access for those who bought the Premium or Constellation editions of the game. A recent comparison video has shown how well Bethesda's sci-fi RPG has been optimized on the Series S. Starfield launches globally on September 6.

"After a very long wait, Starfield is finally here, and it is safe to say it can meet every Bethesda fan's expectation, although those expecting the game to lean heavily into the space simulation genre like No Man's Sky and Elite Dangerous may end up a bit disappointed", Francesco de Meo wrote. "For better or worse, Starfield is a Bethesda game through and through."

He also wrote: "At the start of my journey in Starfield, my experience was admittedly rather dull and boring, but as I collected more Artifacts and got involved in the sprawling sci-fi universe created by Bethesda, I started warming up the game, getting to the point that I have some difficulty putting it down. While Starfield refines more than innovates the typical Bethesda formula, it is undoubtedly one of the best games ever made by the studio and one of the year's finest titles."
