Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the greatest football players to have walked this earth. Having played over 1,000 games in his career, with over 800 goals to his name, Messi is synonymous with being one of the greatest of all time, and Apple has decided to capitalize on his legacy as the company appears to be working on not one but two documentary series revolving the legendary number 10.
Apple wants to capitalize on Lionel Messi hype and for the right reasons
Now, for those who haven't been keeping up to date, Apple announced the first project in June. The first documentary is going to focus on Messi's World Cup career, which culminated with his win in Qatar last year. Now, a new report suggests that there is another documentary in the works that is going to focus on Messi's run in the MLS.
At this point, it should not come as a surprise that both these documentaries are separate, with the World Cup document series consisting of four episodes and the MLS series bringing six episodes. Despite being different, Apple is trusting Smuggler Entertainment to produce these documentaries, and they will also bring behind-the-scenes access to the greatest of all time, also known as Lionel Messi himself. It is important to know that the projects still don't have a name, and we don't even know when they will be released or announced, but considering how Apple seems really committed to bringing these series to the world, I am looking forward to seeing how it actually turns out because t really is important for a lot of fans.
