Lenovo Unveils Legion Y34w Ultrawide Gaming Display: 34" Mini-LED, 165Hz, Under $500 US 1

Lenovo has been in the gaming display industry for quite some time now however, its products haven't gained traction in global markets. The company has now unveiled a new gaming display under its "Legion" lineup, which on paper looks promising.

Lenovo Legion Y34w Features Ultrawide Mini-LED Display & Much More at A Sub-$500 US Price

The Lenovo Legion Y34w gaming display utilizes a 34-inch ultrawide screen with a WQHD Mini-LED panel. The choice of the panel here is interesting since we have mostly seen Mini-LED offerings in higher-end gaming monitors such as the Samsung Neo Odyssey G9. However, with the Legion Y34w, the panel type will hopefully transition into "affordable" options.

The Lenovo Legion Y34w gaming display features a 165Hz refresh rate with DisplayHDR 1000 certification. It also supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro with a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. The monitor also provides excellent quality output since it has a 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-bit color depth, and color accuracy of Delta E<2. The monitor is a great package, making it suitable for gaming and professional applications.

When it comes to onboard ports, the Lenovo Legion Y34w features HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and full-featured USB-C interfaces, although the actual number of ports isn't certain yet. Moreover, an interesting feature is that the monitor can support devices with up to 140W reverse power delivery through its USB-C interface, making it an ideal option to be used alongside a gaming laptop.

The Lenovo Legion Y34w gaming display is one of the many products Lenovo is expected to release under the lineup. The monitor is expected to be released by 29th July with an expected price tag of less than 3000 RMB or $420 US, which is quite decent considering the features you are getting with it. Whether the monitor would launch globally is a question yet to be answered.
