Beats Studio Pro Features and comparison with AirPods Max

Today, Beats has seen fit to introduce its latest Studio Pro over-ear headphones with major improvements in terms of sound quality and some hardware changes. The latest iteration is equipped with the latest internals and competes well against Apple's higher-end AirPods Max. The Studio Pro arrives almost 15 years after the original model was released that popularized the Beats brand.

Beats Studio Pro announced with USB-C, enhanced audio quality, and a $200 cheaper price tag compared to AirPods Max

The latest Beats Studio Pro has a lot going for it and it will be a tough choice if you are getting your hands on Apple's AirPods Max. While the design is nearly identical to the original, the performance and sound quality have been improved a lot. Furthermore, the company has also improved durability and comfort with enhanced connectivity and much more.

In terms of sound quality, the latest Beats Studio Pro comes packed with most of the components and technology powered by Apple. For instance, the headphones come with support for Apple's Personalized Spatial Audio feature with a built-in motion accelerometer. It also houses a gyroscope for dynamic head tracking, adaptive ANC, and much more. The mic is also upgraded compared to the original. It also features a proprietary transducer design with a custom 40mm driver for lower distortions and stutters.

As for connectivity, the Beats Studio Pro offers three different connectivity options: Class 1 Bluetooth, USB-C for lossless audio, and .5mm analog. The options are present for different situations, for instance, a 3.5mm jack will allow the headphones to connect to controllers and inflight audio systems. With USB-C, the Beats Pro can switch between audio profiles that tune according to the scene.

Beats Studio Pro Features and comparison with AirPods Max

The design is pretty similar to the previous Beats headphones that you have used. It features a foldable design for easier portability, cushioned headband, as well as padded earcups for better comfort. The earcups feature upgraded leather UltraPlush. Externally, the plastic design keeps the weight at bay as it is lighter than Apple's AirPods Max. However, the use of plastic does give it a comparatively less premium look and feel compared to the AirPods Max. The Beats will be able to withstand sweat but it does not have an official water resistance rating.

Other than this, the controls are handled through the right earcup. You can use the "b" logo as a button to play or pause music and answer calls. Double tap on the button would hang up calls and proceed to the next track. Additionally, a long press would initiate Siri.

The new Beats Studio Pro is available for $349.99 which is $200 less than Apple's AirPods Max. If you are interested you can get your hands on the Beats Studio Pro through Apple's online store right now and Apple Stores starting tomorrow. The headphones are available in Deep Brown, Navy, Sandstone, and Black.
