Choose Your Pick: Brand New M1 MacBook Air for $799 or Renewed for Just $704

Save a ton of M1 MacBook Air brand new or renewed.

Time to make a difficult decision - should you get a brand new M1 MacBook Air for $799 or a renewed model for $704?

Apple's Latest Sale on the M1 MacBook Air Makes Things Super Exciting - Should You Buy Brand New for $799 or Renewed for $704?

It seems as though Apple has made a habit to discount the M1 MacBook Air way too often. Every other day it would drop down to $799 from its original starting price of $999. This makes this laptop an insanely crazy deal for a lot of reasons.

One biggest reason is that M1 chip which is blazing fast and puts every single Intel MacBook Air to shame in an instant. Equally more amazing is that 13.3-inch Retina display that makes everything look like a glowing magazine paper. Once you go Retina, there's no way you're looking at any other display and for $799, both these features are wonderful to have.

Another thing that was made possible with the M1 chip is 18 hours of battery life. If you ever wanted a laptop for $799 that lasts an entire day, you really can't go wrong here at all. And what if I told you that this laptop can be charged up using a 30W power bank? Let me take it a step further - even an 18W USB PD power bank will juice this thing up, albeit slowly. But you get my point. This notebook is as portable as it gets and doesn't require fancy chargers to get up to 100%. And yes, in case you're wondering, Apple will give you a 30W charger and USB-C cable in the box, if you're buying brand new.

Next up on the list is that excellent Magic Keyboard and a massive trackpad underneath. Unlike the previous Intel MacBook Air models, this one has a massively improved keyboard. Not only you get keys that don't break when faced with a little bit of dust, you get a typing experience that feels exactly like how it should - butter. And that trackpad is made of glass and the closest thing to it is how you interact with stuff on the iPhone and iPad's display, if that makes any sense.

Last but not the least, you get 256GB of internal storage, 8GB of RAM, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting stuff, a headphone jack if you like your music that way and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor at the corner. Entering passwords is a thing of the past and that Touch ID button should feel like a massive upgrade if you're coming from an older computer that doesn't have one.

Now, what should you buy? Brand new or renewed? It's entirely up to you. If you want to fit in some accessories as well, it's best to go renewed. But, if you want proper warranty and longevity in terms of battery life, then it makes sense to get a brand new one.
