Chinese company HKC launches new gaming displays, the OG27QK and the MG27U, featuring high-end specifications for entertainment and gaming.
HKC New Gaming Displays Focus On Delivering Quality Content At a High Refresh Rate, Comes at Competitive Pricing
For those unaware, HKC is a Chinese display corporation with a complete product lineup ranging from 1 inch to 60 inches. The OG27QK and the MG27U are the higher-tier releases by the company, and they have much to offer to Chinese consumers.
Going into more detail about the OG27QK, it features a 26.5-inch OLED display panel with a native resolution of 2560 x 1440. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio with a fast 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. Moreover, the monitor features a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, a 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 10-bit color depth. For the display quality, the monitor is well-equipped and suitable for gaming and professional use. The monitor panel is outsourced and manufactured by LG. Hence one should not worry about the quality of the monitor.
The OG27QK supports HDMI, USB extension, Type-C, and DisplayPort, although it has yet to be confirmed how many ports are onboard on the monitor. The USB interface supports up to 90W of power supply; hence you can easily connect any equipment on the monitor. The monitor features a black color scheme with subtle RGB lighting at the back. It is undoubtedly a great option and will contend with LG and Samsung in Chinese markets.
Apart from the OG27QK, HKC has also launched the Aegis MG27U monitor. It features a 27-inch nano IPS panel with 4K resolution. The display comes at a 160Hz refresh rate and 1 ms GTG response time. The flat display comes with HDR600 certification with a 98% DCI-P3 color gamut rating. This model is more focused on delivering content of high quality since it has a resolution of 3840 x 2160.
The design of the Aegis MG27U is also sleek and borderless with a black color scheme. It also features red borders along with a monitor stand. The stand supports rotatory movement along with swivel adjustment. The details regarding the monitor ports are limited however, we do know that it comes with support for HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4.
The OG27QK and the Aegis MG27U are limited to Chinese markets for now with regional pricing of 4699 RMB ($660 US) and 3599 RMB ($505 US) respectively. Both options come at really competitive prices offering tough competition to models such as the LG's 27GR95QE.
