Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition PC Version Evidence Spotted

Bloodborne

Years after its release, FromSoftware's Bloodborne continues to be stuck on PlayStation consoles, forcing players to get a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 to experience one of the best games ever put out by the Japanese studio. A PC port or remaster has been rumored to be in development for a long time, and today we have received confirmation that even the game's complete edition received a full PC build at some point.

Today, well-known hacker Lance McDonald shared some interesting facts on their Twitter profile. According to the hacker, the screenshots of the Oil Urns on the Bloodborne "fandom" wiki were contributed by Marcos Domenech, environmental artist at FromSoftware, who took them from a PC build. The screenshots are named "SPRJ-win64", which is the file convention the game uses when taking screenshots in the debug menu. As the screenshots seem to have been taken with the debug camera, which was unavailable on PlayStation 4 until recently, it's pretty much assured that the screenshots were taken from a full Bloodborne: The Old Hunters PC build.

While this is an extremely interesting find, as there would be no reason for FromSoftware to create a working PC build of the game's complete edition just for development reasons, this doesn't mean that this build is ever getting released to the public or that the game is getting remastered. As already mentioned, rumors of a remake/remaster, and even sequel, have been circulating online for years, but nothing has been announced to date. If something is in the works and is releasing in the future, we may hear something about it during the next PlayStation Showcase, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

Bloodborne is now available on PlayStation 4 worldwide. We will let you know if the game is indeed getting remastered for PC and PlayStation 5 as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
