Biostar's AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card is the first to receive a price reduction since the launch of the new series down to $859 US.
AMD partner Radeon RX 7900 XT may begin selling at $859, with BioStar being the first
The Biostar AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT comes in the dual-slot MBA design, incorporating a large 20 GB memory capacity and some unique technology while featuring a standard dual 8-pin power connector configuration.
The Biostar AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU is the first card to lower its price to $859. In January, Sapphire and XFX were reported to reduce the cost to $879 on Newegg. Since then, Best Buy, Micro Center, and others are also seeing price reductions. On the other hand, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT did not encounter the vapor chamber problems that the XTX series experienced. With NVIDIA selling the RTX 4080 for $1,199 for better performance, the AMD RX 7900 XT is still a worthy GPU in a gaming PC system. There are reports of NVIDIA introducing a price cut on the RTX 4080 soon but that would only make it competitive against the 7900 XTX.
Currently, The Radeon RX 7900 XT series uses the Navi 31 XT GPU core that uses 84 CUs. The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT also runs with slower clock speeds at 2.0 GHz. This is 300 MHz less than the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX variant. The XT series also has a 100 MHz slower boost clock, reaching only 2.4 GHz. The TBP on the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is 300W.
AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU's memory (20 GB GDDR6) runs across a 320-bit bus interface with only 5 MCDs enabled. The graphics card will use 80 MB of Infinity Cache (slower than the XTX series variant), decreasing over sixteen percent. The graphics card features 800 GB/s of bandwidth or 3.5 TB/s with Infinity Cache.
