In case you ever lose your iPhone or iPad, you have the option of locating it on a map using the Find My service from Apple. But, if your device is in close proximity, then you can ping it using Find My and your device will play a sound so you can easily locate it. It is super handy and we have been using this feature since forever.

Today, we will show you how you can use this feature to find your iPhone or iPad using Siri or even your HomePod and HomePod mini. Just follow through the instructions and you will find that lost iPhone hidden behind that table in no time.

Find Lost iPhone or iPad Using Siri / HomePod

Note: Find My must be enabled on your device in order for this to work. You can enable this feature by going to iCloud settings in the Settings app. You can use Siri on any device to locate your lost iPhone or iPad, even the Apple Watch.

Step 1. Launch Siri by saying Hey Siri or pressing and holding the Power button for a few seconds. HomePod users can either say Hey Siri or just touch and hold the top of the HomePod. Apple Watch users can press and hold the Digital Crown in case Hey Siri is disabled

Step 2. Now say 'Where is my iPhone' or 'Where is my iPad'

Step 3. Assuming your iPhone and iPad is connected to the internet in any capacity, Find My will play a loud ring tone on it

Step 4. Once your device is found, simply unlock it and the sound will go away

Interestingly, if you own an Apple Watch, you can use Siri on it as well to locate your devices. It is a super handy feature and one which you will appreciate when time comes.

It is highly recommended that you enable Find My on all of your devices. In case of theft or the event that you manage to leave it behind somewhere by accident, finding your device will become a breeze. You can even remotely wipe your device if the situation demands it.
