Want to check your current Apple Watch Battery Health status? You can do it in watchOS 7 and we will guide you through it.
Find Out the Battery Health of Your Apple Watch in watchOS 7 and Have a Glance at the Remaining Overall Capacity
watchOS 7 is a phenomenal update, especially if you were hoping to see some performance boost without lifting a finger. But apart from that, it introduces a handful of features which makes the Apple Watch function more like an iPhone of sorts, with features like Family Setup. And in all those features comes something which a lot of users are going to care about as well - Battery Health.
If maintaining good battery health is a cause of concern for you then you will be pleased to learn that you can have a quick peek at it in watchOS 7. The feature lives snuggly inside the Settings app but we will guide you to it in a step by step fashion.
Tutorial
Step 1. Press the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch to go to the home screen.
Step 2. Tap on the Settings icon.
Step 3. Scroll down and you will see an entry called Battery. Tap on it.
Step 4. Tap on Battery Health.
As you can see from the screenshot below, my Apple Watch has a rating of 98% which is 2% less than what the watch shipped with. It's understandable, given that chemically age and are not able to hold a charge at its full capacity over time.
If you want to maintain good battery health, it is extremely important that you keep your Apple Watch above the 50% mark at all times. A battery that stays closer to zero is more prone to damage. And if you really want to damage your battery, then it's a simple case of draining your Apple Watch all the way to zero until it shuts down. Constantly doing this is going to give your battery the beating it does not deserve. So please, don't do that.
Though it is hard to charge an Apple Watch in the middle of the day, it is best that you make a proper habit of charging it every single night before going to bed so you wake up to a fully juiced up watch in the morning. Trust me, leaving it plugged in does not harm the Apple Watch and our devices are smart enough to manage power without any sort of user intervention.
