watchOS 7 lets you change your Exercise and Stand goal minutes

You can actually change your Stand and Exercise goal on Apple Watch running watchOS 7, here’s how you do it.

Starting from watchOS 7, You can Change Your Exercise and Stand Goal Minutes Apart from Your Move Goal on Apple Watch

If you are using the Apple Watch as a tool to stay fit,  you will be surprised at the ways it can keep you motivated and help you go that extra mile. There are a ton of built-in workouts to achieve a specific calorie goal and boost you further to rake up those exercise minutes. But apart from that, the Apple Watch will also ping you when it’s time to stand.

Starting with watchOS 7, Apple thinks it’s an even better idea to give you more control to how you want to spend your active day. Now, you can customize your Exercise and Stand goals apart from the Move goal itself, something which wasn’t possible before. Previously, you could only set a Move goal and follow that, with no control over Exercise or Stand. By default, the Exercise goal was set to 30 minutes and Stand at 12 hours.

With the ability to customize Exercise and Stand goals, you will be able to achieve your daily activity goal easier and slow work your way up (or down) as you see fit. Update to watchOS 7 on a compatible Apple Watch, and we will show you how you can change your Exercise and Stand goal.

Tutorial

Step 1. Wake your Apple Watch by tapping on the display and then press the Digital Crown to go to the home screen.

Step 2. Find the Activity icon and tap on it.

Step 3. Scroll all the way down and tap on Change Goals.

Step 4. If your Move goal is where it wants to be, just tap on Next.

Step 5. Set your Exercise goal on this screen. You can only do it in increments or decrements of five minutes. The minimum value is 10 minutes and maximum is 60 minutes. Make your choice and press Next.

Step 6. On this screen you can set your Stand goal. You can set anywhere between 6 hours and 12 hours. Make your choice and then tap on OK.

There are a number of reasons why you would want to change your Move, Exercise and Stand goals. I’ll give you one right now - you simply can’t accommodate bigger goals in your busy routine. Let me give you another one - you simply don’t need to to workout that often since you have a punishing routine already.

Whatever the case might be, watchOS 7 now gives you full control of your activity allowing you to achieve your goals more easily, or if you want to take your body to the limit by doing more.
