OnePlus has always been a key player when it came to the introduction of fast charging solutions. It all started with the company's Dash charging on the OnePlus 3 and the Warp Charge 30T on the OnePlus 7T. It seems that OnePlus is really concerned about how the device performs. To bolster the idea, the company also makes use of software tricks to provide users with the best experience. This is where the new Optimized Charging comes into play on your new OnePlus phones.
How to Enable Optimized Battery Charging for Long Term Health on OnePlus Phones
If you're not familiar with Optimized charging, it basically charges your phone to 80 percent and then stops. The rest of the 20 percent is charged 100 minutes before you wake up. What this means is that your OnePlus phone is not being consistently charged and it takes help from the sleep cycle detection feature.
With this, the battery will stay at around 80 percent in the night and get fully charged before you wake up. Basically, this extends the life of the battery as keeping your phone at 100 percent is not a good option in the long term. If you're unfamiliar, here's how to enable Optimized Charging on your new OnePlus phone.
1. The first thing that you have to do is to launch the Settings app on your OnePlus.
2. Now, navigate to Battery.
3. Turn on Optimized Charging.
Your OnePlus phone will learn your sleeping cycle over time and relevant data will be collected and stored on your device which can be used later on for better user experience. The battery icon on your OnePlus phone will indicate that the feature is activated. You can also turn the feature off from the drop-down menu. If you are not satisfied with the feature, it can be turned off from the same path as mentioned above.
That's all there is to it, folks. We will share more guides on OnePlus and other smartphones soon, so stay tuned in for it. What are your thoughts on the feature? Let us know in the comments.
