Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story Announced For PC, Consoles

League of Legends

A new game set in the League of Legends universe called Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story has been announced during The Game Awards show.

The new game is in development by Riot Forge and Double Stallion Games, and it will be an action platform game focused on LoL champion Ekko, who will have to explore the streets of Zaun and will have the ability to turn back time for a few seconds.

CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends Story is a single player, action platformer game developed by Double Stallion Games and published by Riot Forge. Players will explore the spectacular world of Zaun as Ekko, a young inventor with an ingenious device to manipulate time. Follow Ekko’s journey, a fan-favorite LoL Champion, as he discovers that the power to change time comes with many consequences.

The fact that a League of Legends single-player game has been announced is not surprising. Last week, Riot Games announced the opening of a new publishing label called Riot Forge, which will publish "completable" games developed in collaboration with outside development studios.

Conv/rgence: A League of Legends Story isn't going to impact the development of other versions of League of Legends, which will hit consoles and mobile platforms in 2020.

Refreshed models, animations, game systems and more--but keeping true to the core League of Legends gameplay you already know. We didn't want to just port League on PC 1:1--we want to make sure Wild Rift feels like it was designed for new platforms, and use that opportunity to make a bunch of improvements to the game. While you won’t get your unlocks from League PC, you’ll get some cool rewards for the time you’ve spent in the PC version. More to come on that in 2020!
