The Witcher 3 releases on Nintendo Switch next week worldwide, but some copies are already out in the wild.
Reddit user ConnerBartle is among the lucky players who managed to get an early retail copy of the game, and he has shown the amazing packaging of the new release. This level of care shows how The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch wasn’t a simple afterthought to make a quick buck.
Chris recently had the chance to try out The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch, and he was impressed by the port, which manages to look great despite the obvious downgrade over the other console versions.
There have been zero compromises in content, with only minor ones on visual fidelity, audio options and slower loading time than I’m used to. There’s little doubt to me that, when released, this will be the best open-world game on the Nintendo Switch and, arguably, the best game in general on the Switch. How nice it will be to the battery, well that’s something I’ll have to figure out when I have the game and I’m constantly playing it whenever I’m on the go. When will that be? There’s no set date, the aim is still for a 2019 release. I, for one, can’t wait.
The Witcher 3 launches on Nintendo Switch on October 15th. The game is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
