The Nintendo Switch Lite releases later this month worldwide, and a new trailer showcasing the console has been released online today.
The new trailer, which can be watched below, not only showcases the console, but also highlights the differences with the regular Nintendo Switch model.
Nintendo Switch Lite is a compact, lightweight addition to the Nintendo Switch family, with integrated controls. Available starting September 20th, 2019!
Last month, we heard some new details regarding the Switch Lite. The controls have been changed over the Joy-Con, and they feel different, according to online reports.
The ABXY buttons are different. They feel kinda mushy or squishy. but ZL ZR LR feel the same as the old switch.
The DPAD is mushy too. It feels similar to the pro controller dpad but feels more accurate. It worked fine on Zelda and i didn’t have to use it for Mario Kart (unless i was playing wrong, please forgive me i’ve never played Mario Kart before.)
The Nintendo Switch Lite launches next month worldwide. The console is a portable only version of the Nintendo Switch and, as such, it does not support the dock.
Nintendo Switch Lite has integrated controls and is smaller than the flagship version of Nintendo Switch. It has no kickstand and, as a dedicated handheld gaming device, does not support video output to a TV. Therefore, it does not come with a dock or HDMI cable.
The new device can play all games in the robust Nintendo Switch library that support handheld mode*, although some games will have restrictions. Compatible game modes will be listed on the back of game packaging and in Nintendo eShop.
