Apple discontinued last year’s iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max yesterday after introducing the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone XR and the iPhone 8 series are still officially available for a reduced price. However, Apple understandably has some stock of the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max on hand and it has now reduced their prices to clear the inventory presumably, but you won’t these models on the company’s website.
According to MacRumors, while last year’s premium iPhones cannot be ordered online, they are still available at physical stores with a $100 discount. This means that the iPhone XS with 64GB will now cost you $899, while the 256GB and 512GB models will set you back by $1,049, and $1,249, respectively. Similarly, the iPhone XS Max is also retailing for a cheaper price. For the 64GB version, you will have to cough up $999, while the 256GB storage model will cost you $1,149, and the 512GB variant is retailing for $1,349.
Given that the iPhone XS Max has the A12 Bionic chip under the hood and two cameras at the back, we think it might be a better idea to get the iPhone 11 Pro in its entry-level configuration. After all, for nearly the same price, you will get better specifications so it doesn’t make much sense to splurge $999 on the 64GB iPhone XS Max. If you don’t mind the LCD display, the iPhone 11 is also a good choice as it starts from only $699. All the three new models are underpinned by the A13 Bionic chip, which Apple says will push the boundaries of what’s possible on a smartphone.
Pre-orders for the latest models will begin on September 13 and they will launch on September 20. If you want to save some money, you can get the iPhone XR which starts at $599 or the iPhone 8 which costs $449 in its base configuration.
