Death Stranding Latest Screenshot Shows Great Attention To Detail; Launch Event May Be Held

Death Stranding

Legendary game designer Hideo Kojima is sharing new Death Stranding screenshots on his official social media profiles rather frequently, and today’s screenshot shows great attention to detail.

Today’s new screenshot, which can be found below, shows main character Sam without his glasses. Not only the surroundings look amazing, but it’s possible to see circles around his eyes which may indicate sleep deprivation. This level of detail is hardly found in open-world games, showing how Hideo Kojima is, once again, making the whole medium move forward.

On a related note, Hideo Kojima recently hinted that a Death Stranding launch event may be held, as he stated on his Twitter profile that he would love to another, as the last one he did was for Metal Gear Peace Walker in 2010.

Last week, Hideo Kojima confirmed that Death Stranding will feature a first-person view mode, but he also highlighted how the game will be unlike anything that has been seen so far.

Since I get this question alot, DEATH STRANDING is different from stealth game. You can enjoy First Person View but not a First Person Shooter game. It’s brand new game genre that adapted the concept of strand that we call Action Game, Strand Game (Social Strand System).

Hideo Kojima also recently talked about how he could never go back to creating linear games following Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He acknowledged, however, how the story took a backseat once the game opened up, and he is making sure this won’t happen in Death Stranding.

So in Phantom Pain I started with a kind of experiment by starting linear. And once the world opens, the story fades in one way. Some Hideo Kojima fans were not happy that the story takes a back seat. But this was done very consciously. This time was the biggest challenge and the biggest obstacle: it’s an open world, but at the same time we do not want to reduce the importance of the story, so fans of Hideo Kojima games will not be disappointed.

Death Stranding launches this November on PlayStation 4. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
