It is widely believed that a new iPad Pro will be released this fall and while we have allegedly already seen accessory diagrams of the slate, a blogger has now uploaded an image of what could be the final design. Since this is the 2019 iPad Pro dummy we are referring to, it’s worth remembering that the Cupertino giant will likely do some touchups before releasing the final slate.
New Camera on iPad Pro Could Help Ease the Process of UHD Video Recording and Editing
Lending weight to previous rumors, the 2019 iPad Pro dummy actually sports a triple rear camera array similar to the one seen on the iPhone 11 Pro. This means that three sensors have been placed on a square bump alongside the LED flash unit. What’s different though is that the setup doesn’t have a glass covering which could either hint at something new about the camera setup or just an omission. This doesn’t to be the final design after all and Apple can always put the glass surface on the finished product.
According to Sonny Dickson, who uploaded the image of the 2019 iPad Pro dummy (spotted by 9to5Mac), the final design mockup has been obtained from a reliable source. Dickson basically has a stellar track record when it comes to Apple, so we have little reasons to doubt the credibility of the report. That being said, some reports stated the 2019 iPad Pro will not feature any significant upgrades.
So what will three cameras on an iPad Pro achieve? Well, apparently, it will allow video professionals to record and edit 4K videos on the go without having to carry other bulky hardware with them. Moreover, this setup will presumably also bring the same low-light capabilities present on the iPhone 11 Pro to the upcoming iPad Pro. According to the images shared by Apple, the iPhone 11 Pro can capture detailed photos even in dimly lit environments. Other than that, this setup can also come handy with AR-related applications.
While the presence of a triple rear camera on a 2019 iPad Pro dummy seems promising when we think about the actual retail unit, when can we expect its unveiling?
