New Nintendo Switch Battery Test Shows How Long Zelda BOTW Runs At Max Settings

Nintendo Switch

A new Nintendo Switch new model battery test surfaced online, showing how long the new console can run one of the most demanding games at max settings in handheld mode.

The new test, which has been conducted by GameXplain, shows how long the new Switch model with improved battery can run Zelda Breath of the Wild in handheld mode with maximum brightness, volume, and wireless on. The test shows some very interesting results, as the new model can run the game for around 4 hours, as opposed to the two hours and half of the original model.

Another test shared earlier this week showed how the new Nintendo Switch model can run Breath of the Wild for around 5 hours with brightness set to 50% and Airplane Mode activated. Judging from both tests, the new battery is a definite improvement over the one included in the original model.

The next Switch model to release worldwide is the Nintendo Switch Lite. The console is going to be a portable only version of the Switch and, as such, will not be compatible with the dock. It will also not feature the detachable Joy-Cons, although they will still be compatible with it. Nintendo is also planning some further upgrades.

Releasing: September 20, 2019
Price: $199
Comes in three colors (Grey, Yellow, Turqoise)
Does not have detachable JoyCons, can’t be docked to the TV
Has D-Pad!

Nintendo Switch Lite has integrated controls and is smaller than the flagship version of Nintendo Switch. It has no kickstand and, as a dedicated handheld gaming device, does not support video output to a TV. Therefore, it does not come with a dock or HDMI cable.

The new device can play all games in the robust Nintendo Switch library that support handheld mode*, although some games will have restrictions.
