The destructible Skyrim mod allows players to break and destroy various objects in both the original Skyrim and the special edition.
Players still weren’t able to break stuff in The Elder Scrolls V but this mod finally changes that. Created by modder ‘John Jarvis’, this mod offers fans the chance to smash barrels, tables, bookshelves, chairs, pots and urns to pieces and watch the debris fly everywhere.
“Be careful in taverns or shops though as the guards won’t take kindly to such reckless destruction”, the modder writes. “This is a small sample of what is to come for testing purposes. This mod has only been tested on a clean, mod free save for a short amount of time which is why this is a beta.”
“You will get a bounty if it is in places like shops, taverns and people’s homes. A small satchel will drop from destroyed containers so you can retrieve the contents of the container should you break it. It can be hard to see sometimes through all the rubble though. The destroyed objects will be returned to their default undamaged condition after 24 in game hours and any loot from damaged containers will be reset so be sure to grab anything important straight away.”
We’ve included a video from the mod in action down below:
As said, the mod is available for the original Skyrim and for Skyrim Enhanced Edition.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is available globally for PC and consoles. As expected, this mod is only available for the PC version.
