Apple today has seen fit to release beta 7 of watchOS 6 and tvOS 13 to developers for testing purposes. The new beta builds arrive a week after the sixth beta was released and two months after the company initially showcased its upcoming software updates at the WWDC event. Let’s dive in to see whether Apple has added any forward-facing addition to the table and how you can download it.
Apple Seeds Beta 7 of watchOS 6 and tvOS 13 to Developers
Starting off with watchOS 6, you can download and install the latest beta 7 through the Apple Developer Center. Do make sure that an appropriate configuration profile is installed from the Developer Center. Once you do that, simply head over to the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone and navigate to General > Software Update and you’re good to go.
watchOS 6 brings a boatload of new front-facing additions like a dedicated App Store on the Apple Watch, so you can download the apps right from your wrist. In addition, developers can now develop standalone apps for the first time. There are new watch faces, remove built-in apps, including new apps like a calculator, Audiobooks, voice memos and more. Other than this there are a bunch of new health-related features as well.
Apart from watchOS 6, Apple has also released beta 7 of tvOS 13 to developers. You can install the beta 7 on your compatible Apple TV through a profile that is installed using Xcode on Mac.
tvOS 13 is bringing a redesigned interface with a new Home screen, enabling you to discover content with ease. Apps now support full-screen video previews, multiple profiles, Apple Arcade, and new screen saver options.
