We’re in the second half of the year and can expect a flurry of leaks surrounding the Google Pixel 4. In a somewhat unprecedented move, the company already shared the official render of its upcoming flagship on its Twitter profile. However, that image only revealed the back of the device. Luckily a Pixel 4 fanmade render has popped up online and is apparently based on the rumors that have been doing rounds on the internet and looks almost lifelike.
New Fanmade Image Maintains the Key Design Changes and Subtle Details Present in the Earlier Leaked Renders
As can be seen in the photograph, the Pixel 4 fanmade render has prominent bezels at the top. If you look closely enough, two selfie cameras can be seen and next to it is the speaker grill. It was earlier rumored that multiple design teams are working independently of each other to work on the Pixel 4 phones and by the looks of it, they’ve done a decent job, especially if you compare it to the design of last year’s notch king, the Pixel 3 XL.
As for the back of the phone, it has a square bump that houses three cameras, and this aspect has been confirmed by Google itself, as mentioned before. This is the first time that a Pixel phone will have a multiple rear camera setup and since Google’s phones easily outdo the competition with a single sensor, it will be interesting to see what three sensors can pull off.
Moving on to other details, the volume rocker, and the power button can be seen on the right-hand side of the phone. The power key has been color matched with the square bulge. The Google logo can be seen on the back of the phone in the lower middle portion, and there’s no rear-mounted fingerprint reader. This means that either will be working on an in-screen fingerprint reader, or embed one in the power button.
One of the most interesting changes seen in the Pixel 4 fanmade render is the removal of the chin bezel. This change was also visible when leaked renders of the Pixel 4 XL came through, and we wonder if Google will maintain this change in the final product.
Whatever the company’s decision will be, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will likely be announced late October. These handsets are known for their best-in-class camera and will be running stock Android. Thankfully, the improved design seen in the fanmade image could help Google attract a wider audience, especially those who were put off by the Pixel 3 XL design.
