Pillars of Eternity Complete Edition Nintendo Switch Releases Next Month on August 8

Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition releases for the Nintendo Switch next month on August 8.

The spiritual successor to the Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale series will be released on the Nintendo eShop in Europe on August 8, and the US store will likely be updated with the listing shortly. Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition includes all previously released additional content from the PC version, including all DLC and expansions in a single package. The complete edition of this gem was already released for the PS4 and Xbox One back in 2017.

Pillars of Eternity, originally the result of a crowdfunding campaign by over 77,000 backers, first released for PC platforms to broad critical acclaim, winning several awards for its rich story and deep, original world. Now, the original game, alongside the expansions The White March – Parts I & II, has been adapted for consoles as Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition, available today on consoles for the first time.

As said, the RPG will become available on the Nintendo Switch digitally on August 8. The title’s sequel, Pillars of Eternity 2 – Deadfire, is slated for a Switch release this year as well.
