Dragon Ball Z Kakarot To Feature Additional Playable Characters

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is going to be focused on the series’ main character Son Goku, but he will not be the only playable character in the game.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump confirmed that Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan will be fully playable in the game. They will also serve as support characters in battle, fighting alongside Goku and responding to what happens during battles. Chiaotzu, Tien Shinhan, Krillin, and Yamcha have also been confirmed as support-only characters.

The Dragon Ball Z RPG in development by CyberConnect 2 is setting out to be a very interesting game. A playable demo was available during the E3 2019 last month, and I have been impressed by the amount of care that is being put into the game.

I wasn’t expecting much of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, but the E3 2019 demo definitely left me impressed. It can get a big mashy in battle, and some exploration mechanics could use a little tweaking, but there’s no denying that any Dragon Ball Z fan will enjoy the game, as the presentation is top-notch and the gameplay fun, albeit not particularly original.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot launches in early 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
