New Shenmue III Off-Screen Footage Surfaces; Might be Coming to Xbox One as Well

Some new Shenmue III off-screen footage has surfaced online and the game might very well be released on Xbox One as well.

As posted by ResetEra user Spaghetti, a new member from the Shenmue Dojo saw footage at a Walmart demo kiosk and posted it on the forum.

Based on these footage, the overall visual presentation has been improved compared to previous footage. As noted by Spaghetti, the video still uses the August 27 release date but Shenmue III was delayed to November 19 earlier this week.

Another interesting tidbit is that the source code on Shenmue III’s official preorder page has shown the Xbox One logo which might suggest the game will also be arriving on Xbox One. The website has since been changed to remove the Xbox logo.

Shenmue III is slated for a release on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game has been in development since 2015 and is being developed by Ys Net and Neilo.

Shenmue III sees the continuation of the epic story-driven saga. The player controls teenage martial artist Ryo Hazuki as he investigates his father’s murder.

Players must explore the game’s open world, searching for clues, examining objects and talking to non-player characters for information, taking them further into enemy territory, deeper into mystery, and even closer to their destiny
