If you are a Google Calendar user and rely heavily on it for managing your schedule, then you better think again. Reports are being received that Google Calendar is currently down and is displaying a 404 error. This has caused a huge reaction on twitter as users are confused as to what’s going on. Some users are receiving a 500 error when they try to access the web page.
Google Calendar Is Down – Confusion Trends On Twitter
Down Detector has received over 10,000 reports of this problem. Google confirmed this problem on their G Suite apps dashboard at around 7:22 am PT. They said, ‘We’re investigating reports of an issue with Google Calendar. We will provide more information shortly. The affected users are unable to access Google Calendar.’ The issue has been observed in the UK, mainland Europe, South America and the US. Do you belong to these areas? If yes, then tell your boss your calendar is clear for today because Google said so. Sit back and relax and pretend you don’t have anything in store for today, because without a calendar to guide us; we can’t really do anything.
This isn’t the only thing that is experiencing problems. The company confirmed at 7:54am PT, that their Hangouts Meet video is also experiencing issues.
“We’re investigating reports of an issue with Hangouts Meet. We will provide more information shortly.”
If you are using the Google Calendar app, then you don’t need to worry as it seems to be working totally fine. You can view your tasks, events and even add new events without any glitches.
Twitter is raging at the moment with very mixed views, some people are relieved that they can stay in denial for a little while, whereas, others are totally confused as to where their life is headed.
