Persona 5 Royal New Gameplay Videos Showcase New Story Elements, Third Semester And More

Persona 5 Royal

New gameplay video have been shared today for Persona 5 Royal, showcasing some of the new additions of the new version of the popular JRPG developed by Atlus.

The new videos, which are only available in Japanese right now, showcase some new story elements, the new character Kasumi Yoshizawa, new confidant Takuto Maruki, the additional third semester and some of the enhancements for school life and phantom thief parts.

Yesterday, we have learned that Persona 5 Royal will also offer some sort of bonus to those who have save data from the original Persona 5 and more.

If you have save data for Persona 5, you will get some sort of bonus. You will not be able to use the same save data for Persona 5 Royal however.

There are 20 new background music tracks.

There is a scene where the mysterious new handsome guy character sleeps in the same bed as the protagonist.

Persona 5 Royal will make a great game like Persona 5 an even better experience. In his review of the original game, Kai noted how the long wait has been totally worth it.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to metaphorically unwrap a new Persona title and I can confidently say that it was worth the wait. There’s something special about the stylish role-playing game series that no other RPG maker can come close to emulating (although Mind-Zero certainly tried). While the battles take a backseat to the story in Persona 5, it’s that daring tale of phantom thieves that keeps drawing me back in. Now that I’ve finally ripped myself away from the PS4 long enough to pen the review, I can’t wait to put the mask back on and steal a few more hearts.

Persona 5 The Royal releases this year in Japan and next year in the West on PlayStation 4.
