Microsoft Is Teasing Its Edge Browser For macOS – Video

Microsoft first announced that it was rebuilding its Edge Browser a few months back. The company also announced that it is also working on Edge Browser for macOS. However, there is no launch date mentioned at this point in time, but we will surely let you guys know as soon as more details are available on the matter. As for now, let’s dive in to see some more details on what macOS users can expect from the Edge Browser.

Microsoft Teases Edge Browser for macOS Ahead of Launch

Microsoft is hosting its BUILD conference this week. The company shared several details about the Microsoft Edge Browser in a public blog post. It was previously mentioned that Microsoft was building theEdge Browser based in the Chromium rendering engine, the same that Google uses for Chrome. For what it seems based on the video shared below, the Edge Browser for macOS will look a lot similar to Chrome.

The video mostly shows the browser in action on Windows. However, the tiny sneak peek that we received does give us a pretty good idea. Here’s what Microsoft has to say about macOS and Edge:

“With full support for standards-based PWAs installed directly from the browser, you can bring the full power of the web to the desktop app environment. Because the next version of Microsoft Edge will be cross platform, these experiences will work consistently across Windows and macOS, and will stay up to date with the latest platform capabilities regardless of the underlying operating system version.”

As we have mentioned earlier, the Edge Browser for macOS does not have a release time frame at this point. However, we expect that it will arrive very soon. There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details on Edge Browser for macOS.

This is all for now, folks. What are your thoughts on the matter? Share your views with us in the comments.
