‘Kinky’ Sci-Fi RPG Subverse Got More Funding Than Star Citizen on Kickstarter

Crowdfunding fatigue set a while ago, at least for videogames. It’s no wonder the most funded projects all date back to several years ago.

However, the erotic-themed Sci-Fi RPG Subverse has managed to defy this trend. Its campaign just concluded with £1,668,626 in pledges, making it the 17th most funded videogames campaign on Kickstarter. Impressively, Subverse surpassed the likes of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, Divinity: Original Sin 2 and even Star Citizen’s original Kickstarter campaign.

The developers at StudioFOW are well known to hentai fans for their erotic movies and shorts, but this is their first foray into games. Even so, Subverse does look like a high-quality effort in its target niche. The game is due to launch on Steam Early Access at some point in the Summer.

Welcome to a new era in adult entertainment!

Tired of crappy, low effort hentai games? Then enter the Subverse – an old school PC gaming experience developed from the ground up for the discerning adult by an experienced team of filthy apex perverts.
