downgrade iOS 12.2 beta

Apple has released iOS 12.3.1 to the general public and if you’ve installed the latest build but want to downgrade to the previous iOS 12.3 build, follow the step by step instructions below. The procedure works the same on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Do downgrade to iOS 12.3 as soon as you can before Apple stops signing the firmware. Now, let’s get down to the tutorial.

Downgrade iOS 12.3.1 to iOS 12.3 – Here’s How To In A Few Simple Steps

If you’re looking to downgrade to iOS 12.3 for whatever reason, the procedure is fairly simple. Before we dive into it, do take note that Apple has stopped signing iOS 12.2, which means you can no longer downgrade to the build. However,  the signing window is still open for iOS 12.3, so do take hold of the opportunity before its too late.

Before you begin the downgrading process, make sure that you backup everything to a secure location. This is due to the fact that downgrading will wipe everything off your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch since it is a clean install from scratch. You can also backup using iTunes or iCloud.

Do download the corresponding iOS 12.3 firmware from the link provided before you head over to the downgrade process.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch to your PC or Mac using MFi-Certified Lightning cable.

Step 2: Launch iTunes and select your device from the top left-hand corner.

Step 3: Now, press and hold the Shift Key for Windows or Options Key for Mac and select iOS 12.3 firmware file that you have downloaded before.

Step 4: After iTunes is down extracting the firmware file, restore your device and then verify everything with Apple.

Once all of the steps are completed, iOS welcome screen will be displayed. You can set your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch as a new device or restore from your backup.

This is all for now, folks. What are your thoughts on the latest iOS 12.3.1 release? Are you happy with the update or would you be downgrading to iOS 12.3? Let us know your experience in the comments.
