Nexon and Neople Studio 42 just announced the release of their latest title: Godzilla Defense Force. It is now available on all mobile devices worldwide as a free download. In Godzilla Defense Force players will battle and collect legendary monsters from across 29 movies set in the Godzilla universe.
Godzilla Defense Force will take fans through the history of the Godzilla franchise, starting with the original 1954 film and on to the present day. Joining forces with powerful allies, such as MechaGodzilla, players will battle to save major cities like London and Tokyo and Sydney from monsters from across Godzilla’s lore. Jaeho Hwang, Director of Neople Studio 42, has the following to say:
Godzilla Defense Force weaves TOHO’s legendary Godzilla series with a fantastic blend of card and defense building mechanics to create unique mobile experience that reflects the heart of the franchise.
Players get to level up their abilities by building an increasingly powerful deck of Monster Cards by defeating KAIJUs. New skills and buffs can be added to your deck as you keep playing the game. As players collect Monster Cards, they not only build their deck’s power but also add to their Codex, unlocking detailed descriptions of monsters alongside images from their respective movies.
Lastly, players can bolster their forces through lunar colonization. Godzilla Defense Force is available on the App Store for iOS and on Google Play for Android devices. Nexon was founded in 1994 and has since released over 80 live games operated across more than 190 countries. The company was also responsible for the global release of Durango: Wild Lands a few days ago.
