During this week, Samsung announced its most advanced camera sensors that are expected to take imaging and video recording to the next plateau. The Korean manufacturer announced in a press statement that it will start mass production of its 64MP and 48MP sensors very soon, and it was assumed that the Galaxy Note 10 would be the first device from the company to be incorporated with such hardware.
After all, the Note 10 is expected to be the best of what Samsung has to offer from its mobile division, so it was immediately assumed it would be treated to the best internals possible. However, a tipster believes that isn’t going to be the case, and for a lot of customers saving up to upgrade to Samsung’s upcoming phablet, it might not be a deal breaker either.
Tipster Reveals That Galaxy Note 10 Not Featuring a 64MP Sensor Isn’t Necessarily a Bad Thing
According to a tweet from Ice Universe, Samsung’s best smartphone of the year isn’t going to be treated to its best camera sensor yet. The leakster goes on to state that the lack of a 64MP sensor isn’t going to be a bad thing, as he says that the Galaxy S10 features a triple rear camera, and while none of them is even a 48MP sensor, the smartphone is able to snap impressive images and video under various lighting conditions, earning it a respectable spot in DxOMark’s rankings. That doesn’t mean Samsung will attempt to use the same hardware in the Note 10.
As most of you know, there are expected to be two versions of the Galaxy Note 10 launching very soon, with the top-tier model rumored to feature a quadruple camera system, just like the Galaxy S10 5G. The cheaper variant of the Note 10 will most likely ship with a triple rear camera, so we’ll have to see if there are any differences in the camera and video quality when the first image and video samples arrive.

Personally, we’d like to see the Galaxy Note 10 get treated to Samsung’s best sensors, considering that the handset has been rumored to come with a brand new ‘buttonless’ design, a large battery, and support for 5G networks right off the bat. The top-end model’s display size is expected to measure in at 6.7 inches diagonally, while the less expensive variant that will be targeted to the European markets will have a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED screen.
Considering that a tipster stated the aforementioned details, it’s best to treat it with a pinch of salt for now. Hopefully, Samsung should make the Galaxy Note 10 a beast in the camera department too, but time will tell what the Korean behemoth has planned for its crown flagship of the year.
