Galaxy Note 10 Might Come With Fast-Charging Feature Greater Than 25W, Hints Tipster

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 25w faster charging

It will take a few years before Qi wireless fast-charging becomes a ubiquitous feature in high-end phones, so for now, manufacturers are implementing ways to rapidly top up their device’s batteries in record time. Take Huawei for example; its P30 Pro supports 40W fast-charging, while the Galaxy S10 5G is limited to just 25W. Samsung might have something up its sleeve as it prepares to launch its most premium flagship series of the year, and a tipster has hinted about this feature too.

Galaxy Note 10 Earlier Leaked to Have a Battery Capacity That’s Bigger Than the Galaxy S10 Plus’ Cell so a Higher Fast-Charging Value Is Justified

In an earlier leak, we reported that the Galaxy Note 10 might ship with a 4500mAh battery, the same capacity found in the Galaxy S10 5G. The Galaxy Note 10 will also be compatible with 5G networks so despite that tremendously large cell, the upcoming flagship will be a battery guzzler, mostly due to its 5G modem. To continue using the Note 10 without the battery completely draining, 25W fast charging might not be considered sufficient when you want to plug it in between. This is why, according to tipster Ice Universe, Samsung may have a solution to this.

While they were no specifics provided, the tweet surmises that “battery capacity and charging speed will no longer be Samsung’s weaknesses, or advantages”. It could mean that battery timing on the Galaxy Note 10 will be impressive, but not so much so that customers will be willing to fork over a small fortune just to get their hands on the upcoming flagship. However, with Samsung also having incorporated 15-watt Qi wireless charging to its Galaxy S10 5G, perhaps we could see an increase in this category.

Given that the Galaxy Note 10 is supposed to be a better performer of its Galaxy S10 cousin, we do expect Samsung to make improvements in places that a lot of customers will not notice. Of course, the Korean giant has reportedly envisioned a buttonless future for the Note 10, and given its expected new design, we do believe it will attempt to improve across the board in its feature set, rather than giving priority to just a single improvement.

We are excited to see how the Galaxy Note 10 will differ from the Galaxy S10 series, and that also means you should take this rumor with a pinch of salt. Samsung has been reported to launch two Note 10 variants, so we’ll see what the Note 10 Pro has over the regular version, and that includes the fast-charging numbers.
