Cooler Master Launches V Series Ahead Of Computex 2019

A well-known name in the case and power supply manufacturing business is Cooler Master. Today, they have announced the newest addition to their power supply lineup. The V series power supplies which vary in efficiency between 80+ gold and platinum. To improve upon early power supplies, these are bringing all the features to increase efficiency and decrease the noise.

Built For The Most Power Hungry Components

The new models vary in wattage, but that is to be expected to cater to all consumers. The gold rated power supplies range from 650 to 750 watts while the platinum power supplies range from 850 to 1300 watts. The difference from the previous generation is all the new features to supply the most power hungry GPUs and CPUs because everybody knows how much power a HEDT chip and an RTX 2080 Ti consumes. They went above an beyond putting 16 AWG wiring which is higher than the industry standard 18 AWG wiring. They also have 100 percent Japanese capacitors.

Both series use silent, double ball bearings fans for cooling. The dimensions of the power supplies are 201.2(L) x 150(W) x 86(H) mm. Cooler Master goes as far as to tell us the MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) which slightly under 100,000 hours.

  • 80 Plus Platinum Certified
  • Full-bridge LLC Resonant Converter and DC-DC Technology
  • Thermal Regulation Mode (TRM)
  • Single/Multi-Rail Switch
  • Improved PCIe Cable Conductivity with 16AWG PCIe cables
  • 10 Year Warranty

If we look at the gold series, not much changes other than the certification and the wattage as these are only offered up 750 watts. The gold series also has the same MTBF. Here are some of the features on the gold series.

  • 80 PLUS Gold Certified
  • Half-bridge LLC resonant converter and DC-DC Technology
  • Silent 135mm FDB fan
  • 40% Semi-Fanless mode with Hybrid Switch
  • 16AWG PCIe Cables
  • 10 Year Warranty

If you want to get a look at these before buying them, they will surely be on display at their booth in Computex 2019. Pricing will most likely be similar to competitors and more information is available on Cooler Master’s website.
